Congrats to the Middletons!!

Before I forget, I just wanted to say congratulations to Miles & Pam, as they welcomed Ashlyn Irene early in the morning on 19 Feb. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long! She is simply perfect and we can't wait to meet her!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

Happy belated Valentine's Day to you! I had a great day with my two favorite guys and just really enjoyed having not one, but TWO Valentines this year. The past week or so, we've made a couple trips to the zoo. Pierce seems to enjoy it, but I'm not really sure how much he can actually see...he may just enjoy being outside for all I know.
Anyway, one day we went with Kathy and Rock and it seemed like all the babies were outside.
We even got to see a daddy monkey trying to teach his baby to climb the fence. The little one wasn't so sure and eventually reached for his dad (and safety) and was then rescued by his momma.
The baby elephant was so close to us, we could see the whites of her eyes...so cute!!!
(For some reason I can't upload those pics...so sorry!)
I'm also including a pic of Pierce with our friend, (Bitter) Bob who came to Montgomery last week. We went over to the Bleils for dinner and had a great time catching up!
Here's Brandon with Anna & Pierce...and some other random shots of Piercey. Happy Presidents Day!

I've been slacking a little bit on our birth announcements...congrats to Brent & Amanda (and big brother, Burke) on the arrival of Lana Nicole on 20 Jan. She weighed in at 6 lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. And, on 26 Jan, Rollo & Dallis welcomed Gabriel Augustus. He was 6 lbs 14 oz and 20 inches long. We are so excited for you!! We look forward to many more babies in the upcoming months!!

Super Bowl XLIII

Hi, all! Brandon's college, friend, Julian (or Jules, as we call him) is here visiting us. He drove down last night and will drive back this evening. We haven't seen him in quite some time and we've really enjoyed having him here this weekend. Pierce wanted to show off his B-52 today, so we took it out and, as always, he had a grand 'ol time!

B asked me last week if Pierce could stay up a little later tonight to watch the Super Bowl because "it's his first one, Honey." Luckily for me, Pierce should be ready for bed at half-time, so I think he'll have had enough by then...especially considering he's currently practicing his pulling up skills and not even looking in the direction of the TV. (Clearly, we'll have to work on his love of televised sporting events!)

On a side note, Pierce LOVED Jennifer Hudson's singing...as you can see from the picture, he didn't take his eyes away from the TV the entire time she was on!

I'm also including a pic of Pierce & his buddy, Rock in front of the Civil Rights Memorial. We went there a few weeks ago and are anxiously awaiting our next visit with Rock, as all of Pierce and his friends have been sick the past 2 or 3 weeks, so we haven't been to a play date in...well, at least to me, it seems like FOREVER! :)
