Pepe Le Pew

Today I was asked what Pierce is going to be for Halloween. He didn't have much say in the costume, as Gigi bought costumes LAST year, after learning I was pregnant. Because we knew we weren't going to find out what we were having, she decided to buy for both a boy and a girl, just to make sure she had it covered. SO, when on sale...buy, buy, buy!! But, I did need to try it on him to see if it fits and, low & behold, it does fit & he was rockin' it like the cute little stinker, I mean skunk, that he is going to be (minus the green striped onesie)! Because he's so darn cute, I thought I'd post a couple preview pics. Enjoy!

Go Utes!

Because I'm a slacker, this video is just now making it onto the blog. Me being a slacker is neither here nor there, BUT, this video is of my brother-in-law, C4 making up his own "fight song" for the Utah Utes after beating Michigan. The voice you hear in the background is my wonderful hubby, egging him on!!

Hoorah for Play Dates!

This morning Pierce had his first play date at Anna's house. He met new friends, Craig (who is two weeks younger than Pierce) & Tessa (who is 13 months). It was nice to hang out with other kids his age and their moms...AND, we all live in the same neighborhood!! Of course, I couldn't miss the chance at a photo session or miss out on Anna & Piercey playing together on the floor. Boy what a conversation they had! Thanks to Ms. Kerry for being the hostess with the mostess!

Our Labor Day Bash

I know, I know. It's been a few weeks since we were in St. Louis, celebrating Granny's 94th birthday and Pierce's blessing, BUT...well, you know. I'm busy with my boys at home (yes, Brandon keeps me busy, too!) and I just haven't sat down to update the blog...well, except for those cute pictures of my boy in the tub sucking his thumb!

We arrived in St. Louis on Friday evening and Pierce was a trooper in his car seat for the 9 hour trip. He was so excited to meet his Great Granny, Great Aunt Mae, Great Uncle Clev, his Uncle Marshall (whom he's named after), his Uncle C4 & Auntie Shavoni and cousins Darren & Alicia. By the time we made it back to the hotel, my little man was in full meltdown mode (bless his little heart!!)

The next day, we hung out at Aunt Susie's house & just chilled with the fam. Grams & Grandpa were there from Salt Lake and Gigi & Poppy drove in from PA. So, it was a big 'ol party and a blessing that we were all together. Saturday afternoon, we all went to take some family pictures. It sure was hot out there, as you can tell by Pierce's face in most of the pictures. (Or, that may have been lack of sleep and/or food!)

Sunday morning we went to Central Baptist and had Pierce's blessing. This is the same church B was raised in and had his blessing as a little boy. Believe it or not, we only have one picture of Pierce on this day. We were so worried about getting everything, getting settled in church, trying not to make a scene, that we forgot to take pictures! We do have the video, though (thanks, C4!) After church, we headed over to Susie's for Granny's birthday party...and boy, what a party!! Great food, great company, many memories! We had an awesome weekend! Please note our adorable nephew, C5, also had a great time with his cousin, Pierce! We left St. Louis on Monday morning and returned home late Monday afternoon...just in time for Pierce to get a good nap in before dinner!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

I'm still in the process of getting our pictures and video uploaded from our trip to St. Louis, but Pierce was so cute last night at bath time, I just had to post these pics. He's now 15 lbs 2 oz and 26 inches long. He went to his 4 month check-up last week and all is well. He is LOVIN' sucking his thumb and can do it now everywhere...including the tub!
